VILLAGERS in Otterbourne and Compton are being urged to take part in a scheme to help children in poor countries.

St Matthew’s Church in Otterbourne and All Saints’ Church in Compton have signed up for the Samaritan’s Purse project.

People are asked to assemble a shoebox of gifts which is then sent overseas.

Donations can be made at services until November 15, or left at St Matthew’s Church.
