Passenger falls from moving car

A CAR passenger was seriously injured in a bizarre accident in Eastleigh early today.

A 39-year-old woman from the Freemantle, Southampton, stopped her green Vauxhall Astra after she had seen a man in Stoneham Way at about 12.30am.

He got into the vehicle but almost immediately fell out.

The woman called the emergency services and an ambulance took the victim, a 32-year-old man from Shirley, to hospital where he is being treated for serious injuries.

Police stress the woman has not been arrested and is regarded as a witness.

They are urging anyone with information about the incident to call the Totton Roads Policing Unit on 0845 045 4545, quoting Operation Equity.

agree with you Reality, if she stopped to pick him up and he almost fell out straight away, don't think falling from a stationary car would cause 'serious' injuries. He's from shirley, she's from Freemantle. Lovers tiff gone wrong, he was probably drinking.......

Firstly he was from Millbrook not Shirley. Secondly it was a Silver Astra and lastly he was not found wandering about as she had already picked him up! Come Echo delve a bit deeper before posting this nonsense!
