Radio Solent presenter Charlie Crocker has announced she is to leave the airwaves of the south.
Charlie, pictured, who presents the daily afternoon slot is quitting after three years with the station.
She took over the 1-4pm slot from Richard Cartridge following a controversial shake-up of the Radio Solent line-up in a bid to bring in more listeners.
Previously a presenter at BBC Southern Counties Radio, Charlie has been praised by Radio Solent bosses who confirmed she is leaving to follow her career elsewhere.
A BBC spokeswoman said: “We can confirm Charlie has decided to leave BBC Radio Solent after three years to pursue her career elsewhere. She’s been a fantastic asset to the station and we will certainly miss her.’’ Charlie’s last show will be on December 18, and will be replaced on December 21 by new presenter Katie Martin who is moving from BBC Stoke.
