IT’S not every day you see Darth Vader, a Dalek and Peter Venkman from Ghostbusters in the same room.
But that was the scene that greeted more than 1,000 people who came to the Toy Model and Collectors Fayre at Bitterne Leisure Centre.
Dozens of people dressed up in sci-fi costumes and browsed collectable toys from cult series such as Star Wars, Dr Who and Star Trek.
Cash was also raised for charity and split between the Princess Anne Maternity Unit in Southampton and Dreamflight which takes children with severe illnesses on a holiday of a lifetime.
Dave Tarrant, 30, pictured dressed up as Han Solo from Star Wars, has organised similar events with his brother Chris.
He said: “It’s allowed a number of sci-fi enthusiasts to get together and have some fun. Lots of dealers sell toys and we support a lot of charities.”
