Fall in swine flu cases

THE number of swine flu cases across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight has dropped this month according to health bosses.

Across Southampton there were 546 assessments carried out by the National Pandemic Flu hotline service during the first half of this month, compared to 1,138 for the same period in November.

In Hampshire there were 3,559 assessments, compared to 6,161 for the same period in November.

However, health bosses fear that swine flu infection rates may increase over the Christmas period with more people travelling and visiting friends and family.

Nationally, it is estimated that the number of new cases of swine flu cases this week will be 9,000, compared to 11,000 last week.

The total number of confirmed swine flu related deaths in England is currently 203, compared to 191 last week.

The vaccination has nothing to do with the falling numbers. The numbers had already fallen prior to any vaccination program as is natural in viruses.
Incidently, this "horrific" deadly swine flu hasnt killed anywhere near as many people as was being predicted.
Just over 11500 deaths WORLDWIDE from flu like symptoms, with experts estimating only 2% of those being attributed to the H1N1a variant....the rest being standard flu which actually means we havent done too badly considering the standard flu usually is reported to have killed around 30K people a year just in the US.
The figures just dont add up! But every £5 your GP gets for jabbing you most certainly will.
I'd advise anyone to root out the manufacturers leaflet prior to accepting any jabs.
They state it is not recommended for use in under 4s, and the effects are unknown in all groups, including the effects on future fertility.
"we just dont know what will happen to you" is not a good enough proof of safety to me.
I wonder why the gov are saying it is safe, when ALL documentation from anywhere else says not only that they dont know if its safe, but also they dont know if it will work!!

Sorry but you're wrong, the vaccination programme in Southampton City started mid- November. My own sons had it in early December, without any side effects whatsoever. There are also stats out and there have now been more vaccinations than cases of swine flu in the UK now. In the above article they are comparing first half of this month to November, so the vaccinations should definitely be making a difference! As the under 5s are one of the main vaccination groups it is pretty ridiculous to suggest it is unsafe and I'd like to know where you got that information from! it's nonsense!
