Firefighters rescue Christmas

A SOUTHAMPTON family's Christmas was rescued from ruin by firefighters who tackled an oven blaze yesterday.
A tray of oil being heated inside the oven caught fire at the house in Parkside Avenue, Millbrook, just as the family were cooking their festive lunch.
A team from Redbridge Hill fire station were called and quickly extinguished the fire.
The food was saved and family cooked their lunch in their neighbours' oven.
