RAIL chiefs have begun cancelling services across Hampshire as the snow and ice threatens to cause major disruption for commuters tomorrow.
Southern has revised its timetable for Wednesday, with several routes to and from Southampton cut because of the weather.
The 05.48 train from Southampton to Barnham is the only morning peak-time service to be cancelled so far.
But the rail company has also announced it will not be running some off-peak routes, with the 13 minutes past the hour trains from Southampton to Horsham all cut from the timetable, as are those services which leave London Victoria for Southampton and Bognor Regis at 32 minutes past.
Of the evening peak services, the 16.32, 17.32 and 18.32 trains from London Victoria to Southampton have all been cancelled.
Passengers who are attempting to travel by train tomorrow are being warned to allow additional time for any journey.
Call National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50 for up-to-date information on services.
