PENSIONERS in Hedge End will soon be able to socialise in comfort, thanks to a cash boost worth hundreds of pounds.

The town’s 2000 Centre is set to receive a £500 grant from the Hedge End, West End and Botley Local Area Committee.

The money will be used to buy new armchairs for the elderly residents who regularly use the centre.

The proposed grant is set to be given the go-ahead on Monday.
