AN INVESTIGATION is today continuing after a 22-year-old Hampshire woman reported she was raped while walking home.
She claims she was walking through a field by Fleming Park, between Derby Road and Nightingale Avenue, Eastleigh when the alleged incident took place.
The woman was later taken to Southampton General Hospital with injuries to her face and hands. She was taken by a friend who later convinced her to report the matter to police.
Detectives are urging anyone who was in the area between 9.30pm and 10pm on Monday to come forward.
She went to the police late Tuesday night and a manhunt was launched.
