THE first round of the Reelcare teams of four gets a change of scenery on Sunday.

After a long successful history on Longbridge, Reelcare's Willy Skipp decided to move this year's heats and final to Orchard's match lake at Bashley.

Eastleigh Mosellas' top juniors, Adam Sear and Ritchie Self, line up with Graham Tappenham and Paul Sear under the Homestores banner. Both youngsters have enjoyed tremendous results in the last year and will not let the side down. They should qualify for the final.

Barney's Black have never seen the venue but Paul Barnard, Malc Pepperell, Mark Harvey and Steve Trevitt are experienced anglers and should qualify.

The third qualifying place should be between West Country Raiders, Silly Bait Black and Cormorants B.

Salmon Leap AC held their challenge shield match on Orchard's main lake, Tony Haywood taking 61lb 12oz of carp to 6lb on soft pellet and pole. Mark Baker finished second with 41.13 of small carp on the pole and corn, with Terry Randall third with 38.10.

Others: S Ball 38.8, P Lloyd 38.4 and R Mills 37.4.

Cormorants' club match on Witherington Farm saw victory go to Simon Hambidge (Dynamite Bait), who took 103.8 of carp from peg 74 on Topmoor on pole and floating pellet. He won easily from dad Dave, who had 53.8.

Others: N Tappin (Reelcare Mosella) 52.4, S Pomery (Poingdestre's) 45.10, R Yeo (Cormorants Sillybait) 45.0 and D Nightingale 44.8.
