AERIAL acrobatics will be the highlight of a commemorative First World War show being held at Fareham's Fort Nelson over the bank holiday weekend.
Biplanes are set to duel in the sky as part of the 'boots, bayonets and Brasso' living history event on Sunday and Monday.
Visitors will be able to see how the fort would have looked in 1915, meet British 'Tommies', German 'Fritzes' and American 'Doughboys' and find out how Fort Nelson served in the Great War.
Marking the 90th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign, there will also be firepower displays, cavalry and horse-drawn artillery.
Machine guns from the day will be put to the test and original helmets and weapons dug up from the battlefields will be on display, as well as uniforms, maps, letters and postcards.
Actors will be on hand to present different views from the First World War.
The free event takes place between 10am and 4pm.
