HORSE drugs that could be dangerous to humans were stolen from a car parked in Portswood.
Police fear the drug, Equipalazone, could get into the mainstream market and end up being used by junkies in the city.
A spokesman for Hamp-shire police said the drug could cause serious damage to a person's liver if taken.
She said: "The car was broken into overnight and the sachets were inside. There were eight small sachets but they were taken.
"Our concern is that dealers could mix the substance with illegal drugs and we are issuing a warning to the city's drug users. This drug could cause some serious liver damage."
Equipalazone is white and comes in a powder form.
It is used for the treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders in horses.
