HIGH-FLYING Farnborough North End surged six points clear at the head of the Division 3 table after coming from behind to beat plucky Hamble Club 4-1 at Ringwood Road.

Micky Mullins had fired the Villagers into a 39th-minute lead but Tinoi Christie chipped home from 25 yards to level after 52 minutes before three quick-fire strikes killed off the visitors.

On 69 minutes, Paul Xiberras netted from a Steve Lloyd pull back and then Xiberras notched his second from Christie's cross five minutes later.

Lloyd wrapped up a 4-1 verdict after 79 minutes when he controlled a cross by Lee Warne before turning sharply to drill the ball home.

Hayling United remain second despite seeing their game at Laverstock & Ford washed out, while Paulsgrove slip down a place to fourth after they could only manage a goalless draw against Micheldever.
