Written by Jerome K Jerome Three Men in a Boat was denounced as vulgar by the then literary establishment but even so it quickly became a firm favourite and has since become a classic in English literature.

The three men of the title 'J' (Jerome himself), George and William Samual Harris decide to take a boating trip up the Thames with their faithful companion Montmorency. What follows is a series of hilarious adventures involving 'delightful gals', pineapple chunks, and mysterious swans.
