KEY businesses and organisations from across Hampshire were getting together in Southampton today to share ideas and best practice in sustainable energy.

The business environment Forum (BEF), which is funded and managed by Hampshire County Council, meet quarterly to discuss business issues affecting sustainability and the environment.

Its members include local and national businesses, local authorities and government agencies.

Today's meeting, hosted by Southampton City Council at the Civic Centre, was set to include a visit to nearby Utilicom, a fuel supply and maintenance company which has won awards for sustainable energy schemes.
