Another major victory was added to the tally of local couple Allan and Marilyn Pothecary at the kite festival held recently at Middle Wallop.
Flying as pairs display team Close Encounters, they were clear winners in the National Winter League Cup and were also presented with the Winter League trophy for the second year running making it a double.
"We came into the league late on" explained Allan, who is also the current STACK UK individual novice champion, "as we were unable to get sponsorship to attend the early events.
"You have to attend a minimum of three rounds as it is your highest three scores that count."
