Hampshire Academy v Andover Andover CC, sponsored by Powells, travelled to the Rose Bowl on Saturday and were beaten by the young pretenders by 54 runs.
The batting let the town side down for the first time in four weeks as bad shot selection and two run outs contributed to a poor performance.
The first half went Andover's way as they restricted Hampshire's Academy to 221-8.
Andover won the toss and put the youngsters into bat and the bowlers put the pressure on, supported with a real team performance.
