THE Hampshire FA Rules and Revision and Competition Sanction committee last night recommended to the county's full council that the application from 'Hampshire League 2004' for league sanction should NOT be accepted.
This This recommendation will now be forwarded to the next council meeting of the Hampshire FA this Saturday.
The decision followed a lengthy consultation process with local associations and sanctioned leagues.
It was unanimously decided that the proposed new league has no benefit to the development of grass roots football.
