TREACLE fair: Last Sunday was truly a magnificent day.

The event was opened by the borough mayor, Cllr Gerry Traynor.

The weather was very good and the arena events went very well.

It was also nice to see some of our old Tadley firemen from years gone by putting on an event, as well as our present ones.

Many charities were present, making money. The Air Ambulance is the main benefactor of this year's event.

The Loddon Valley Lions should be congratulated for this year's event, which was their 25th one.

I will let you know the amount that they have raised when I am told. The Lions would like to thank all those who attended or helped in any way.

MUSIC in Southdown Park: This will take place next Sunday, June 20, starting just after lunch.

There will be lots to hear, and even a sing-song for everybody to participate in.

In the afternoon, Churches Together Around Tadley will hold a "Songs of Praise" event, and in the early evening there will be music suitable for the young, with various local bands playing. Full details nearer the time.

AGM: The Citizens Advice Bureau is holding its AGM at the Immanuel Centre on Wednesday.

This year's speaker will talk about debt collection. All are welcome to attend.

ADRIAN Noad: Last Saturday, Adrian won a gold award - not for sport but for his estate agency work. Congratulations to him.
