CHILBOLTON rally driver Justin Dale ended his final drive as a Peugeot works driver with a class win at last weekend's Michelin South of England Tempest Rally in Aldershot.

Dale, who is off to race with the big boys in the World Rally Championships next year, won the Super 1600 class for the fourth time this season after finishing sixth overall in a British Champsionship event held in terrible weather conditions.

"I'm really glad to have won the class on my home rally." he said. "My family and friends were expecting me to, and it's my bit for all the fans who have been so loyal over the years. I had a tear in my eye when we approached the final stage today as I knew it would be my last time out in a BRC works Peugeot 206."
