STAFF at Barclays Bank in Fareham were helping customers on the streets yesterday after the branch was closed due to flooding.

A faulty boiler caused water to pour through three floors of the West Street building affecting the electrics and raising health and safety concerns.

But staff took to the pavement to help customers' queries and do basic transactions.

A spokesman said: "We were not happy about letting customers or staff into the building.

"We coped until the electrician gave us the all clear."
