THE first Hampshire Farmers' Market to be run under the management of a new limited company will be held in Winchester on Sunday.
Hampshire Farmers' Markets Ltd is a stallholder-led company of which local producer Martin Martindale from Anna Valley is a director.
Market chairman, local bee farmer John Cossburn, said: "The markets have proved to be a real lifeline to producers, particularly during the extreme problems faced by many in 2001. The markets will continue to offer the public the opportunity to purchase fresh, quality local produce direct from the farmer and grower."
