INTREPID staff at Ro-Hill Bodies in Andover raised a massive £4,000 for the Cancer Research Campaign after their managing director matched the money they were promised to abseil down Twining's landmark coffee tower.
The 100ft Walk the Wall event raised money for breast cancer research when 70 people took part, including five teams from Ro-Hill.
Mrs Julia Parker from Ro-Hill said: "When a notice appeared in our newsletter asking for teams, the response was overwhelming.
"Brian Robinson was 'hoodwinked' into agreeing to match pound for pound the amount each of our teams raised.
"Brian was there on the day to watch 18 members of his staff, including his two daughters and son, take the plunge."
Events fundraiser, Nikki Betts, said that over £10,000 was raised from the abseil, double the amount that had been expected.
