PEOPLE in Hampshire are being encouraged to have the ride of their lives and help raise money for the Rose Road Children's Appeal.
The charity is organising a special event to celebrate its 50th birthday and help achieve its goal of £4.75m to build a new centre for profoundly disabled children in the county.
A ten-day cycle adventure will take volunteers on a journey through the Caribbean's largest and least commercialised island, Cuba.
All participants have to do is raise a minimum of £2,500.
This covers all tour expenses and arrangements including flights, accommodation and food.
The money also guarantees that £1,300 goes directly towards the appeal.
To date the appeal has raised £4m towards the new centre, which will be built at Aldermoor, Southampton and will include a school, respite care service, information and support services.
