BAT Sports and Havant enter the Southern Electric ECB Premier League championship home straight tomorrow, with the two contenders battling out crucial matches within two miles of each other in Totton (1pm).

Marginally ahead on the eve of the 15th round of matches, BAT take on Bournemouth, with Havant facing an equally demanding task at third-placed Calmore Sports.

"Everyone is talking about the Havant-BAT match the following week, but these are two absolutely crucial games. Neither of us can afford to drop a point," warns BAT vice-captain Richard Dibden, adding that "Bournemouth and Calmore Sports are two very useful sides."

BAT, who have won their last seven matches in a row, will make a late choice from 12 players.

Mark Page is thirsting to return after cracking two ribs and dislocating his shoulder falling out of a bedroom window.

To add spice to the occasion, several potential SPL individual award winners go head-to-head at Southern Gardens.

Former Lymington left-armer Dan Goldstraw (30 wickets) is marginally ahead of Australian Peter Waite (28) in the bowling stakes.

And Bournemouth teenager Chris Park's 24 victims behind the stumps are three less than BAT captain David Banks.

Bournemouth: Swarbrick, Webley, Park, Miller, Cassell, Rintoul, Warrington, Kidner, Warren, Waite, Wilson.

BAT Sports: Banks, Shirazi, Carson, Preston, Kenway, Noble, Dibden, Taylor, Goldstraw, Hayes, Adams, Page.

Calmore Sports, who play BAT on the final day of the season, could give their Totton neighbours a significant boost by inflicting Havant's first defeat of the season at Loperwood Park.

With Wiltshire's Jez Goode recovered from a twisted ankle and left-arm all-rounder Peter Clarke pronounced fit at last, Calmore are able to field a full strength side.

But defending champions Havant have their pace attack weakened by the absence of Mark Copping and Richard Lewis. Luke Sears and Greham Benton step in.

Calmore Sports: Pegler, Draper, Cass, Goode, Hibberd, Bailey, Rose, Motchall, Clark, Boston, Green.

Havant: P Gover, Perry, Carson, Hindley, Gillies, Greenfield, Sears, M Gover, Benton, Loat, Foulger.

Skipper Neil Taylor and Australian coach Dave Lewis will demand a better batting performance from fourth-placed Bashley (Rydal), who receive Andover at Bashley Common Lane.

Bashley were skittled for a meagre 112 and thumped by eight wickets at Burridge last week.

Twelve months ago, Bashley were shot out for an all-time low 46 .... by Andover !

Bashley (Rydal): Taylor, Sexton, Thurgood, Loader, Neal, Sketchley, Knowles, Lilley, Whiting, King, Kemp.

Andover: (from) Hayward, M Miller, Grace, Staddon, Summers, R Miller, Langdown, Keighley, Gardener, Simpson, Manning, M Hooper.

Paul Hawkins is a key absentee for Burridge, who entertain bottom club Hungerford, for whom time is running out.

Hungerford need to win at least two of their remaining four matches to stand any chance of climbing above Liphook & Ripsley, who face the trip to South Wilts.

Burridge: Ancell, Cunningham P Williams, Dixon, S Williams, Francis, Jackson, Hamblin, Creal, Godwin, Brogan, Jenkins.
