PORTCHESTER war veteran David Nash presented Abbie Hymers with a poppy at the Royal British Legion stand in Fareham's shopping centre.
Mr Nash, 75, fought in Europe and Japan during the Second World War. And Abbie, 4, has been in the wars herself - she recently broke her leg while playing on a bouncy castle.
The charity's stall, decorated with flags, has attracted hundreds of shoppers in the run-up to Sunday's Remembrance Day.
