NIGHTMARE: The cast dig up the past again in I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.

CHANCES are you'll know what's going to happen in this sorry excuse for a sequel - especially as the teen slasher follows the same path as the first film.

Guess what - the killer fisherman with a hook for a hand didn't die last time. And Jennifer Love Hewitt also managed to survive to be back for the sequel to I Know What You Did Last Summer.

Julie (Hewitt) is back, being tormented by her past - although technically we're now harping back to what she did two summers ago. But the murderer in a mac who was after revenge last summer has now waited another whole year before deciding to go back on a killing spree.

This time the action moves to the Bahamas when Julie and new best friend Karla (singer Brandy) win a free holiday. It doesn't look like Julie's boyfriend Ray (Freddie Prinze Jr) can make the trip because he's busy working, so the girls head off for the beach trip with Karla's new bloke, Tyrell (Mekhi Phifer), and school pal Will (Matthew Settle) making up a foursome.

It's not long before anyone connected with Julie is being finished off with a hook as this nasty tale follows a very predictable route.

There's always someone lurking in the shadows and friends in danger always agree to split up rather sticking to safety in numbers. Directed by Danny Cannon, it's all totally far-fetched and unbelievable with nothing resembling a surprise, getting away with murder with its con-trived plot. But just as the first film was fairly pop-ular, this will probably still claw in some business at the box office.

VERDICT: You won't want to know anymore
