STUDENTS got their skates on at a Southampton sixth form college - not because they were running late, but so they could glide on ice.
With the sun shining outside, teenagers at Taunton's College in Hill Lane enjoyed the unique experience of skating on a temporary ice rink in their sports hall as part of a specially-themed healthy week.
Other activities included visits from youth advisory services, chances to test fitness and even the opportunity to have a go at lacrosse.
Workshops were held on topics such as stress relief, drugs awareness, dental health, contraception and personal safety training.
Teacher Kerry Pringle said: "We really want to make students think about their health and ways of improving it. This could be by thinking about what they eat and drink or by finding ways of taking more exercise."
