Crews tackle kitchen fire in Hedge End

TWO people have been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in their home in Hedge End.

Smoke filled the property in Brittania Gardens in the Grange Park area after the blaze broke out in the kitchen of the house.

Fire crews from Hightown and Botley attended the scene and used breathing apparatus, a jet and ventilation equipment to put out the flames and clear the building from smoke.

Both casualties were treated at the scene by fire crews and paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service.
