GREEN party parliamentary candidate for New Forest West Janet Richards has lived in the parish of Martin near Fordingbridge for 13 years.

She is one of the founders and current director of Futurefarms, a co-operative set up in 2004 to grow and produce food for Martin.

Mrs Richards said: "I believe local people are worried and angry about the recession, the expenses scandal, and the prospect of cuts in public services.

"Green councillors have a well-deserved reputation for addressing residents' concerns, and I would do so as a Member of Parliament.

"I want to give voters a real alternative to the Conservatives and Labour, who simply aren't tackling many of the challenges of the future.
