A MAN was repeatedly hit in the head during a Hampshire road rage attack.
A 37-year-old white van driver confronted the driver of a BMW near junction 9 of the M3 at Winchester but was attacked with such force that he needed hospital treatment.
The suspects – described as two Asian men, one of whom was dressed all in black – fled northbound on the M3 in a Rregistration, green BMW.
PC Matthew Smith, of Winchester Police, said: “There were a large number of people in the area at the time, particularly in vehicles on the roundabout and we are urging anyone who witnessed this assault to come forward and provide further details on the suspects and the vehicle they drove.”
The incident happened at the traffic lights near the exit to the A34 on Wednesday, March 31, around 3.55pm. Anyone with information should contact Winchester police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
