I WENT into the city on a lovely sunny day. I have a back problem which means I need to sit down frequently, but when I arrived in Parliament there was only one seat.
People sat around the fountain, thank goodness it was not working because that would not have been an option for them. There are never enough seats about, but where have the few that are normally there gone.
I could not find a seat and I did not want to go into a café for a coffee, just a sit down.
We expect visitors to come to York, but when they come there is no where for them to sit. People go into M&S for a sandwich or a drink but come outside and have to stand.
Come on York, can’t we afford a few seats? I will in the future have to think twice about going into the city.
