KENDAL Town go into tonight's clash with Frickley Athletic without skipper Glenn Steel.
Steel was taken to hospital after Saturday's game against Matlock Town, where he appeared to fall awkwardly on his right arm, and it has been confirmed he has broken his arm.
Steel has been on top form this season as Town push for a play-off place, but with him now expected to be out for the season, the defence will have to stand firm, starting with tonight's home match against Frickley.
Paul Byrne is on his way back from injury and could deputise in defence, with Jay Connolly ruled out with a broken toe.
It is expected Alex Taylor and Peter Wright will start in attack for the game, which kicks off at 7.45pm
