Man and his pets rescued from fire
A 19-YEAR-OLD man, a cat and two guinea pigs were rescued from a flat fire in Southampton.
Crews from Hightown fire station and St Mary’s fire station went to the five-storey block in Lydgate Road, Thornhill, on Friday at 5.07pm. The blaze had started in the kitchen and firefighters were able to put out the flames within an hour.
Paramedics treated the man on the scene.
