TWO men were jailed for 12 years each today after being caught with almost £8m worth of cocaine when a liner docked in Southampton.
Tanusa Queuedo-Ojeda and Oliver Hernandez were detained when they disembarked from the Fred Olsen ship Black Watch on March 27 after it had been on a cruise to Central and South America.
The pair, both in their late 20s, were detained because they stood out from among other passengers on the Saga Holidays trip.
Customers officers found more than 24 kilograms of cocaine in leggings they had been wearing and in one of their cabins. One said they were due to deliver a third in Southampton and the rest they were taking to the Canary Islands.
Spanish nationals Queuedo-Ojeda and Hernandez, both of no fixed abode, admitted smuggling.
The city crown court heard they were due to be paid about 70,000 euros for their role.
