A MAJOR Hampshire shopping and restaurant waterfront complex is today open for business as usual after it was forced to close yesterday due to a major power cut.
Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth lost all of its power supplies and had to close its car park yesterday.
Only limited services were available at the centre.
Around 7,000 homes as well as many businesses in Portsmouth were also affected, with the southern half of the city worst hit.
Southern Electric has now restored electricity to all properties.
It is believed the power cut may have been caused by a small fire at an electrical substation in Old Portsmouth.
