THE streets of Hedge End will be awash with colour as the village carnival gets under way.
Hundreds are expected to turn out to watch the parade, enjoy the funfair and see the variety of dancers.
Revellers will be applying fake tan and sequins as they dress up to fit this year’s theme . . .Strictly Carnival.
Other attractions include Punch and Judy, the model tank club and gymnastics.
The carnival court will be made up of queen Francesca Fisher, senior queen Sylvia Barber, princesses Holly Case and Megan Manship and senior princesses Kayleigh Damerell and Victoria Newton.
The procession will start at 2.15pm on Saturday from St John’s Road recreation ground with attractions at Gretna Park.
