THEIVES have stolen 65 fishing rods as part of a £20,000 haul from an outdoor activities centre in Hampshire.
Police are appealing for help in tracing the fishing rods and other equipment from the centre in Green Lane, Romsey.
The burglars broke into the premises during the night on Monday, July 12, also taking a laptop and a blackberry mobile phone.
PC Keith Walsh said: “This is a small business which operates on a non-profit basis to provide activities for disengaged children and their families.
“I would urge anyone with information about this incident or the whereabouts of the stolen property to contact the police.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who is approached and offered a fishing rod for sale as this may be stolen property.”
Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact PC Keith Walsh at Andover police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111
