STRESSED out spaniels and arthritic Alsatians can now unwind at a new hydrotherapy centre. The Warsash unit is expected to help about 3,000 dogs a year with weight problems, rheumatism, hip displacements and sprains as well as training for agility pooches and police hounds.
The opening of Richmond Canine Hydrotherapy Centre was also arranged as a fundraiser for animal rescue charity Stubbington Ark and collected £900 and four bin bags of blankets, tinned food and other donations.
Boss Natalie Richmond said she will also be giving the dogs at the centre free treatment as a thank you for her rescue dog Messi.
Fareham mayor and mayoress Brian and Susan Bayford attended to watch the first hounds show off their doggie paddle.
