SAY no to Sainsbury’s.
That was the defiant message chanted by more than 100 Hampshire residents protesting at plans for a new superstore in Bishop’s Waltham.
Waving giant placards and blowing vuvuzelas the group handed in a 4,500 petition opposing the 35,000 square ft store to council bosses at Winchester City Council today.
The 60-metre petition was given to the leader of the city council, councillor Kelsie Learney, on the steps of the Guildhall.
