A PUBLIC inquiry into the deaths of elderly patients is being demanded by the Gosport MP.
Caroline Dinenage has spoken out in support of those whose loved ones died in Gosport War Memorial Hospital under the care of Dr Jane Barton.
She plans to arrange a meeting with health secretary Andrew Lansley and push to see reports that have not been made public.
A General Medical Council panel found Dr Barton guilty of multiple cases of serious professional misconduct relating to 12 patients earlier this year but she was not struck off.
Caroline said: “I’m very happy to support their calls for a public inquiry.
“For me its about finding out how this happened, how the process broke down and what can be done to prevent it happening again.”
