Southampton teenager finalist in Miss England competition

A Southampton teenager has been selected as one of 30 finalists in a competition being held by the organisers of Miss England.

Holly Broomfield, 19, has reached the latter stages of the Miss Fresh Photographic category.

The competitors voted into the top six will be invited to the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham to compete for the crown.

The eventual winner will receive a prize worth in excess of £500, which includes a place at the Miss England semi-final in June 2011.

Holly, who came third in Miss Southamptn this year, is currently on a gap year after completing A-levels in geography, history and classics at Taunton’s College in Southampton.

She plans to study geography at university next year.
