THE Who’s legendary frontman Roger Daltrey, pictured, will perform the band’s greatest hits in a live open-air summer concert at Broadlands this summer, Scene South can exclsuively reveal.

As lead singer with rock and roll British super-group The Who, Daltrey sold around 100million records, charted 27 Top Forty singles in the UK and US, and landed 17 Top Ten albums, with 18 Gold, 12 Platinum and five Multi-Platinum awards in the US alone.

Formed, in 1964, by Roger Daltrey, Pete Townshend (guitar), John Entwistle (bass) and renowned hell-raiser Keith Moon (drums), The Who have a following that has spanned the generations and were admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990, the first year they were eligible.

Having produced albums such as My Generation, The Kids Are Alright and Quadrophenia – the latter of which spawned the 1979 film of the same name, starring Phil Daniels and Sting – The Who’s music has endured the test of time.

Daltrey will be rocking at Broadlands on Saturday July 16.

Tickets go on sale on Friday from nationalboxoffice.co.uk or call 0871 224 1112.
