A TODDLER has been left with severe burns after a cruel prankster poured super glue over a toilet seat in a pub.

The three-year-old was enjoying a day out with her family and had popped to the toilet with her dad when the ordeal started.

After using a toilet in the gent’s loos, she began to complain of severe pain and was found with blisters and sores across her legs and bottom.

The deliberate prank happened in the Vanguard Pub, pictured, in Fareham and is now being investigated by police.

The little girl was taken to Gosport War Memorial Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.

PC Sue White from Fareham Town Centre Unit said: “This incident has been horrific for the young girl who was visiting Fareham during her holiday to Hampshire.

“This is an unusual and malicious incident which resulted in the three-year-old receiving hospital treatment.

The glue on the toilet seat was placed there deliberately and police want to speak to anyone who has any information about who did it.

“Did you notice anyone with glue or acting suspiciously in the toilets? If so we would like to hear from you.”

A spokesman for the Vanguard said: “We reiterate the appeal that was made by the police in helping to identify the irresponsible culprits who have caused trauma to this young girl and her family.

“We are fully co-operating with the police in this matter and have handed all applicable evidence to assist them.”

The child has returned to her home in Thatcham, Berkshire, with her family and is recovering from the ordeal which happened on Saturday, May 21.
