Harvester is set to create 50 new jobs in Eastleigh, and is now recruiting kitchen staff ahead of opening a new branch at The Swan Centre next month The popular chain has revealed it has signed a lease to open a new Salad & Grill restaurant – its first eatery in Eastleigh town centre.

The site is just a mile-anda- half from the Harvester’s nearest restaurant, at Ham Farm in Twyford Road, just north of the town.

Harvester’s senior marketing manager Alex Meyer said: “We are delighted to have secured such a fantastic site for our new-look Harvester Salad & Grill in Eastleigh.

“The area has great potential and we’re confident that Harvester’s unique offering will prove very popular here.

“Our new restaurant will be the ideal setting to meet family and friends, with a relaxed and casual atmosphere that people will want to return to time after time.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming guests of all ages in a few weeks time.”

The new restaurant is due to officially open on September 13.

It will join an increasing number of dining options at the revamped Swan Centre, which already boasts a Nando’s, Prezzo and Frankie & Benny’s as part of its increased evening leisure offerings.

The complex, which was extensively redeveloped as part of a £24m scheme that opened in 2009 to boost Eastleigh’s night-time economy, also includes a Vue Cinema and AMF Bowling.
