COMPLAINTS to Southern Water fell by 19 per cent last year, but the firm is still one of the most moaned about in the country.

The company received 12,362 complaints about its water and sewerage services in 2010-11, down from more than 15,000 in the previous 12 months, according to figures released by the Consumer Council for Water.

It received an average of more than 60 complaints per 10,000 customers, making it the fifth-worst performing company in the country.
