AN Isle of Wight hotel is celebrating its place among an exclusive and historic group.
The Royal Hotel in Ventnor is one of just 30 across the UK that have appeared in both the original 1911 and 2011 Michelin Guides.
It is marking the achievement with a Royal Revival vintage-inspired weekend next month.
The two-day package, costing £295 per person, includes two nights' accommodation in a classic room and a full English breakfast every morning.
Other features include a three-course meal at the hotel's award-winning Appuldurcombe restaurant followed by entertainment from The Bovril Sisters who will perform hits from the famous 1930s band The Boswell Sisters.
Twice-a-day sightseeing tours on a vintage bus and entertainment from jazz singer Liane Carroll are among the other attractions.
Owner William Bailey said: "Being one of only 30 in the UK is quite an achievement.
"We wanted to mark the centenary with a unique event."
