A man pleaded not guilty today to infecting two women with the HIV virus.
Henry Assumang, 33, denied two counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm on the pair, who cannot be named for legal reasons, when he appeared at Winchester Crown Court.
Assumang, who is HIV positive and originally from Ghana, is alleged to have had sexual relationships with the women between 2007 and 2010 after he had met them in Basingstoke.
Recorder Maria Lamb granted bail to Assumang, of Coppice Pale, Chineham, Basingstoke, and she adjourned the case for a seven-day trial starting on June 11.
