Police have charged two men with affray following a fight that broke out at a Christmas midnight mass service at a Southampton church.
It happened at St. Edmund’s Church near the junction of The Avenue and Rockstone Place in Southampton shortly after midnight on December 25.
Three men from Southampton, were initially arrested in connection with the incident.
Later officer also arrested a 45-year-old Southampton woman on suspicion of affray as part of their investigation.
The woman has since been released without charge.
Paulo Rodrigues, aged 31, from Lydgate Road, Southampton and Jose Barradas, aged 27, of Derby Road, Southampton have now been charged with affray and are due to appear before Southampton Magistrates Court on February 9.
The third man, aged 24, failed to answer bail and it’s believed he may have left the country.
Officers are now attempting to trace him.
