Support groups and sports clubs in Southampton and Totton are benefitting from donations of thousands of pounds.
The Barker-Mill Foundation selected The Avenue Centre and the Prince’s Trust in Southampton as well as Calmore Sports Club due to the help they provide in their communities.
The Avenue Centre received £2,000 to continue supporting vulnerable families while the Prince’s Trust was given £2,500 towards its Fairbridge programme of one-to-one support and group activities.
Beth Hall, fundraising manager from The Prince’s Trust’s Southampton Centre, said: “Our programme helps young people to reduce alcohol use, increase school attendance and gain crucial qualifications.
“The generous donation from the Barker-Mill Foundation will enable us to continue to offer our essential service.”
A total of £2,500 was given to the Calmore club to help in its bid to raise enough for a new artificial cricket practice area.
Tim Jobling, Barker-Mill Estates Trustee, said: “It is great to see the donations make a difference to organisations across Southampton.”
The Barker-Mill Foundation was established in 1995 in memory of Peter Barker-Mill and donated £170,000 across Hampshire last year.
